The Weaver Family

It is always such a pleasure when I get to photograph a family that is full of fun personalities and love for each other, and the proof is always in the photographs themselves. I have known Tiffany since middle school; we sat next to each other and goofed off in band class (go clarinets!), and in college I rented her room for a summer, which came complete with a life-size cutout of Elvis. I still can’t believe we are both mama’s now, but Tiffany has me beat with her 3 beautiful children, Logan, Lily and Luke, who I absolutely adore. Paul and Tiffany, thank you so much for asking me to capture your family– I hope you are as pleased with these photos as I am!

You may remember this adorable crew from a backyard session I did last summer, but as you’re about to see they are growing up fast! This year we headed out to the family’s property to let the kids climb the mossy oaks and run around the open pastures while the sun was setting. This truly is the most beautiful time of year in Florida. Thank you, Blackburn family, for another amazing session!

I am so excited to share these photos from a session with my friend’s sweet family. Krystal is one of the most down-to-earth girls I know, and I was so honored when she asked me to do a family session with her husband, Guy, and their two adorable kids, Hayes and Harmony Sue. Hayes loves to be a goofball, but his warm personality really shines through in these photos. And little Harmony Sue was just happy to be exploring the world around her, but thankfully held still for a few amazing family shots. Thanks for such a fun morning, Hallack family!

Yesterday morning was cool, crisp and sunny–perfect weather for chasing adorable one-year-old, Kate, around with my camera! She kept me on my toes the whole time and stole my heart with her funny faces and sweet smile. It’s not easy to coerce a newly-walking toddler to stop exploring and look up at a camera, but I think I managed to steal a few great shots!

This is the third year I have had the pleasure of taking family photos for the Byrd family, and each year I can’t help but love them more and more! Little Ben is now three years old and as you will see in the photos, he is growing up to be quite the handsome young man. In addition, this year Ben’s grandparent’s tagged along and we made it a real family affair. Thanks for an awesome morning, Byrd family!

I’m not sure if it’s the fall weather or if I have just found my mojo again, but lately I have been watching the sunlight and itching to take photos ALL THE TIME. Thankfully I have a few shoots on the calendar to keep me busy, and lucky for me that I have a big family and there is always someone to coerce out into the warm sun, especially when it’s as beautiful as it was tonight just before sunset. My 11-year-old sister, Elysa, was hesitant to follow me and my camera into the woods, but I think she was so brave and did an AMAZING job!!! Also, today was her first soccer game of the season and her team won– way to go, Lys!

It’s always so much fun taking photos of my friend’s children, and this shoot was no exception. Me and Elizabeth go way back to Little League softball days, and here we are all grown up with future softball players of our own! Elizabeth’s girls were such fun to hang with… tea parties, tiaras, tutus, and of course a dip in the lake to cool off. I not sure what I loved more about these photos, Addie Dayne’s sparkling eyes and playfulness, McKay’s boredom with our tea party, or Katie B’s irresistible baby rolls!!

There’s nothing better than when a client introduces me to a new, awesome location for a photoshoot, and after seeing these photos you’ll know what I mean! It was great to finally get out for a family shoot, especially since we beat the heat before the summer months settle in. I think that if I could shoot here everytime, I wouldn’t mind sweating it out in the Florida humidity so much!
