What to expect

Your family is beautiful and I want to come spend an hour or so with you doing the things you love most. Before the session we’ll work out the details of where the best place is to tell your story, typically your home or another place you feel connected to. We can talk about which clothes from your closets to wear so you all feel great and true to who you are, and any other ways you can prepare so you and your family can relax and have the most authentic time possible.

Our full lifestyle sessions are meant to capture moments in a slower, more personalized way. We get those posed, Christmas card style photos in every session, but full sessions allow time for exploration, creativity, and love to come out. During the session I’ll encourage you to be honest and vulnerable, embrace the now, and share this chapter of your life. There’s no reason to hide the messy bits, that’s usually where the magic is found! You’ll snuggle your shy one on your unmade bed while your wild one jumps and begs for tickles. You’ll swing in the hammock hanging between the oak trees in your backyard, or run through the sprinklers like you did when you were a kid. Maybe we’ll cruise the lake in your boat, take a bike ride together around your neighborhood, or I’ll judge the family cannonball contest in the pool. Whatever it is, you’ll do you and I’ll follow.

After the session I’ll create an online gallery featuring the images that tell your story. You’ll be able to download the high resolution images so that you can save, print and enjoy them for years to come. And if you’re interested in preserving your photos in custom-designed archival albums, or need help arranging your favorite images as art on your walls, I would love to help you find the perfect way to display and enjoy your images.

NEWBORN SESSION DETAILS:

Newborn sessions are perfect for capturing those early moments of your family together, in the comfort of your own home. You'll just relax and tend to baby while I capture all the beautiful details associated with the newborn stage. I love to use items from your home and nursery, as well as any hand-me-down treasures you might have, to personalize your session as much as possible. I like to shoot in the baby’s nursery and/or another naturally well-lit spot in your house, as well as a few shots outside if weather permits. These sessions typically take about two hours to allow time to flow with your family's needs, including breaks for feeding, diaper changes, etc.

*I recommend capturing maternity portraits around the 7th month mark, and newborn photos are ideally captured within the first 2 weeks of birth.

Senior PORTRAIT Sessions

Scheduling your session

Senior sessions are typically shot between January and May of the senior year, so be sure to book your session early. If you are wanting cap and gown photos you will want to consider when your senior will receive those items from their school. You may also want to consider including sports uniforms and/or equipment, college regalia, or special school mementos, to add more personalization to your final images.
